Calla Shoes

Calla Shoes was founded by Jennifer Bailey, who has suffered with bunions for over 20 years. The idea came when she was getting married and realized finding comfortable heels for her bunions was impossible. After two years of development and prototypes, just over 300 pairs from the first collection arrived in 2016.

Unlike regular wide-fitting shoes, Calla footwear is wide in the toe box but standard in the heel. Features include a soft stretchy panel for bunions, arch support, removable comfort insoles, and carefully positioned seams. Only the softest luxury leather and suede from Europe is used to accommodate lumps and bumps without rubbing.

The small UK-based team makes shoes in Portugal's famous Porto footwear region. Jennifer was recognized with the Inspiring Woman Award 2018, and the shoes are podiatrist approved, winner of Oprah O-list Footwear Awards, and worn by celebrities including Dame Helen Mirren, Tamera Mowry, and Prue Leith in 60+ countries.
