Mustard Made was founded in 2017 by two sisters, Jess and Becca Stern, who turned a shared passion for design into a global business. The brand creates beautifully designed, functional metal lockers in vibrant signature colours that have become iconic storage solutions worldwide. The idea was born during a walk on the beach when Jess visited her sister Becca in Australia. Becca had always had a "weird thing for lockers", collecting vintage ones from antique stores and roadside finds. This lightbulb moment led to the sisters launching Mustard Made with just two designs - "The Shorty" and "The Skinny" - in six signature colours at a Sydney trade show. Jess quit her job to launch Mustard in the UK, and the gamble paid off. The UK fell in love with their lockers, and soon they were shipping across Europe too. In 2023, Mustard Made was featured in The Sunday Times 100 as one of Britain's fastest-growing private companies and earned a feature in Forbes. The brand is committed to making a positive impact, partnering with Beam to support people experiencing homelessness. Over five years, customers have helped raise over £207,707 through donations from UK orders. Every locker brings a splash of colour and joy to homes while contributing to meaningful change.
