The Regency Chess Company

The Regency Chess Company is a world-leading purveyor of luxury chess and backgammon sets, as well as many other traditional and historic games. Founded in 2008 in the historic city of Bath by Julian Deverell, the company began in a bedroom in Julian's parents' house. A fateful meeting in London with Rishi Sharma, a producer of extremely fine chessmen, inspired Julian to establish the Regency Chess brand. The company was officially incorporated in July 2009 and now operates from a warehouse in Frome, Somerset, employing a small dedicated team. Known for sourcing and selling only the very finest quality chess sets available anywhere in the market, Regency Chess serves passionate players and collectors worldwide.
