Yoto

Yoto is a London-based children's audio platform founded in 2015 by Ben Drury and Filip Denker, two dads from the music industry united in their challenge of balancing independent play with screen time. Influenced by Maria Montessori's teachings, they created a card-based, screen-free audio player. After a successful 2017 Kickstarter backed by Sir Paul McCartney, Yoto launched its first player in 2019. The second-generation Yoto Player, designed with Pentagram, launched in 2020. Named among Sunday Times Top 20 Fastest Growing Companies 2024 and Deloitte Fast 50 2023, Yoto's turnover reached £94.8m in 2024. In May 2025, Yoto received the King's Award for Enterprise in Innovation.
