APOTHEKE began in 2011 as a personal exploration of scent formulation and soap making in the Brooklyn, New York kitchen of founder Chrissy Fichtl. What started as a hobby has grown into a widely recognised and beloved luxury lifestyle fragrance brand. Fichtl became a soap-making hobbyist who eventually found herself surrounded by her homemade creations. She took them to the Brooklyn Flea, where her soaps gained traction and eventually branched into candles based on customer feedback. APOTHEKE is a luxury home fragrance brand inspired by the unexpected beauty found in life's simple moments. The brand believes that home should be a place of comfort, love, and beauty, and that fragrance is a link to the past, present, and future where memories live. Their classic scented candles are a combination of high quality, perfume-grade fragrance in a vegan, soy wax blend. All candles are cruelty-free and hand-poured in the USA, made with a proprietary blend of essential and perfume-grade oils for long-lasting fragrance. Over the years, APOTHEKE has given back to the community, donating thousands of pounds of soap to the Bowery Mission in New York, and partnering with organisations including Autism Tomorrow, Your Mom Cares, Red Hook Art Project, and Cora Dance.
