Chococo

Chococo is an award-winning artisan chocolate company founded in December 2002 by husband and wife team Andy and Claire Burnet on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. They believe they were one of the first, if not the first, UK artisan chocolatiers to pioneer making truly fresh handmade chocolates. Both founders left corporate careers in London marketing and finance to bring fresh, heartfelt chocolate to Swanage, opening their first kitchen above a small shop. Andy's family was from Swanage, where the couple married in 1999, making it a natural home for their chocolate dreams. Chococo was ahead of the curve in sustainability, launching selection boxes without plastic inserts back in 2002. Today, 100% of their packaging is plastic-free, being either compostable or recyclable. Their passion for using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients and sustainable single-origin chocolate has resulted in over 110 national and international fine food awards. From their production facility in Wareham, Chococo now operates four Chocolate Houses across southern England in Swanage, Winchester, Exeter, and Horsham. Claire and Andy were awarded the Dorset Food & Drink Hero award in 2019, celebrating their contribution to the region's food scene.
