Black Bee Honey was founded in 2017 by Chris Barnes and Paul Webb, who began beekeeping in 2010 with hives in their back garden. Based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, they discovered how delicious honey tasted straight from the hive and decided to share this with everyone while nurturing a British beekeeping community.
Black Bee Honey is a beekeeper collective producing 100% British honey, with each jar stamped with the name of the beekeeper and the location, making it fully traceable. They source top-quality honey from certified beekeepers across the UK and also produce honey from their own hives.
The company is B Corp Certified and a Living Wage Employer. Since 2020, they've given 2% of turnover to plant and manage wildflower meadows with charity Plantlife, creating over 20 acres of meadow so far. Their honeys have won multiple Great Taste Awards.
