Patisserie Valerie

Patisserie Valerie is an iconic British patisserie founded in 1926 in the Soho district of London's West End. Established by Esther van Gyseghem and her husband Theophile Vermeirsch from Belgium, the original Dean Street shop was destroyed during WWII but Madame Valerie refused to give up, reopening around the corner on Old Compton Street.

In 1987, the Scalzo brothers acquired the business and began expanding beyond Soho, with Marylebone opening in 1993, Kensington in 2002, then Belgravia and Chelsea in 2003. Since February 2019, the business has been majority-owned by Irish-based growth investor Causeway Capital.

Today's patisseries offer delicious sweet and savoury treats including brunch, afternoon tea, pastries, croque monsieur, famous cakes and gateaux, and speciality coffee. From traditional flavours to exciting new designs, there's a wide range of cakes for all celebrations including wedding cakes, cake selection boxes, and afternoon tea experiences.

The online range is available for pre-order with next day delivery and can be personalised with inscriptions or cake toppers. Favourite birthday cakes and gateaux slices are also available from selected Sainsbury's supermarkets throughout the UK. Delivery is carbon neutral.
