SILKE London is a British haircare brand launched in 2016 with just one product - The SILKE Hair Wrap. The brand was founded by mother-daughter duo Maria and Christine Sotiriou, combining Maria's 32+ years of hairstyling expertise with Christine's business acumen. Maria, a London hairstylist with a reputation for taming the most difficult-to-manage hair, couldn't find anything that helped her hair grow, hold its style, or prevent breakage - despite having every product and treatment at her fingertips. Inspired by the traditional hair wrapping methods of her Caribbean heritage, she discovered that wrapping her hair specifically in 100% silk had incredible transformative results. The cocoon-designed 100% silk hair wrap was initially created by Maria as a product for her salon clients in 2013. It quickly gained attention, with strangers knocking on her door asking for "the silk hat Maria the hairdresser made." After seeing the transformative effects on so many women - not only to their hair but also their confidence - Christine quit her finance career to join forces with her mother.
