Merry People

Merry People is a female-founded Australian gumboot brand established in 2014 in Melbourne by Danielle Holloway. The idea started during her daily commute to ANZ, constantly ruining work shoes in Melbourne's wet weather. Growing up on a farm in South Gippsland, she knew how useful gumboots could be but couldn't find a pair bridging city and country life. Starting at farmer's markets while working nights and weekends, Danielle took the plunge to give Merry People her all. Now based in Collingwood and sold across Australia, New Zealand, US and UK, the brand has achieved 300% year-on-year growth since entering the UK and US in 2021. Their vegan-friendly, waterproof boots include Bobbi, Andi, Billie Clogs, and Lochie Sandals.
