About Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney was founded in 2001 when designer Stella Nina McCartney CBE launched her fashion house in a 50/50 joint venture with Kering (then Gucci Group). The daughter of Beatles legend Paul McCartney and animal rights activist Linda McCartney, Stella has always championed ethical fashion.

The brand is renowned for never using leather, fur, or animal-derived materials, pioneering sustainable luxury fashion before it became mainstream. In 2018, Stella bought back Kering's stake to take full control, and in 2019 signed a strategic partnership with LVMH.

From the London headquarters on Olaf Street, Stella McCartney now operates 51 freestanding stores worldwide and distributes to over 77 countries through 800+ wholesale accounts, proving that luxury and sustainability can coexist beautifully.
