Curlsmith is a British-founded haircare brand launched in 2017 by Michal and Kate Berski, starting as an online community for people with textured hair before evolving into a product line co-created with its followers. Founder Michal Berski discovered that 60% of the population has naturally curly hair, leading him to launch this clean haircare line. Born from a community sharing haircare tips and frustrations with products not made for their needs, Curlsmith describes itself as the first gourmet haircare brand for curls. With offices in London and distribution worldwide, the company has won Marie Claire, Naturally Curly and Grazia Awards, and featured in Vogue, Glamour and Forbes. In 2022, Curlsmith was acquired by Helen of Troy for $150 million.
