About Commodity

Commodity was founded in 2013, brought to life by a Kickstarter campaign by founders Owen Gee and Yo Santosa. The LA-based designers wanted to make artisanal scents more accessible, releasing a debut collection of ten fragrances. The brand has gone from crowd-funded to crowd-favourite.

In 2019, after meteoric growth forced a temporary shutdown, the brand was acquired by Vicken Arslanian, founder of Europerfumes with 15 years in niche perfumery. Now based in London and New York, Commodity collaborates with accomplished artisans to deliver creative, unisex, cruelty-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free offerings.

Their innovative "Scent Space" allows customers to select their fragrance and control its projection, with each scent available in three versions: Personal (close), Expressive (balanced), and Bold (amplified). Popular fragrances include bestsellers Milk, Gold, and Book.
