Cascading from an arch or pergola, its flower racemes can reach up to 50cm in length, drawing gasps of admiration. The deep violet-blue, pea-like flowers also fill the air with a delightful fragrance. As with other Japanese Wisterias, the blooms appear alongside the green, pinnate leaves.
