Swiss Chard 'Celebration' is a magnificent ornamental edible – ideal for kitchen gardens and allotments but also as an attractive feature in a patio container where the bright stems can be admired! Plants produce a reliable crop of large, vitamin-packed green leaves supported by a vibrant rainbow coloured mix of tender stems that are sure to perk up mealtimes! Sow successively and enjoy a harvest all summer long! Pick young leaves to enjoy in salads or leave them to mature and cook as spinach. Height: 50cm (20”). Spread: 40cm (16”).Direct sow Leaf Beet seed outdoors from March to August. Grow Swiss Chard in a well prepared, moist, fertile seedbed in full sun or partial shade. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 1cm (½") in drills 30cm (12") apart. Thin seedlings to 7cm (3") apart for 'baby leaves' which will be ready to harvest approximately 50 days from sowing.
