This wonderful Gladioli has such bright yellow flowers you can help but smile when you see them. It will be a major talking point in your garden. In autumn, you should allow the stems and leaves to die back before lifting the corns and clearing them of soil. Ideally dry and ventilate before storing in sand or a frost free locations over the winter. If leaving the corms in the ground, cover them with a dry mulch of bark chips or leaf mould to protect from the wet weather. Culinary note: the lettuce flavoured flowers can be used with sweet or savoury spreads. The individual petals can also be included in your salads.
