Rose Yellow Standard is a reliable miniature standard variety that will flower profusely through summer into autumn, thanks to excellent breeding and a more compact nature. The lollipop shaped standard shrub is adorned with masses of yellow roses, guaranteed to provide a spectacular display that really stands out. Very easy to look after and makes an excellent feature in borders or in containers on the patio. Plant bareroot roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole. Stems of climbing roses will require training against a suitable support such as a pergola, fence or wall. Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late summer begin pruning climbing roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged stems.
