Grow a carpet of yellow and white blooms! Poached Eggs Plants are a much-loved, easy to grow annual flower. Their gentle fragrance attracts hoverflies, who then feed on troublesome aphids, protecting other plants in your allotment or garden. Bees also love this low, spreading carpet of colourful blooms. Height: 15cm. Spread: 20cm. Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Sow 3mm (1/8in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart. Plants prefer a position in full sun with a cool, moist root run making them ideal as an edging for paths.
