Marigold Indian Kushi Mix is a half-hardy annual that will burst into flower from July to September. This variety of marigold is named after the Hindi word of Joy and is the first Indian Marigold that is available to buy in the UK. This Beautiful flower emerges in a mix of bright yellows and oranges, this variety was inspired by the stunning garlands of African Marigold flower heads that are created for Indian weddings and other special occasions. Perfect for planting in garden borders or patio containers, these marigolds are also perfect for cut flowers with there long stems, a great way to create your own flower garlands to dress outside spaces for your own special occasion. Height:60cm (24”). Spread: 40cm (16”). Sow marigold seed in spring on the surface of a good seed compost and gently firm down. Lightly cover the seed with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 21-25C (70-77F) or seal it inside a polythene bag. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged and not exclude light as this aids germination which usually takes 7-21 days.
