Hydrangea are one of the easiest shrubs to grow, and will perform extremely well in gardens up and down the UK. They will grow in sun or shade, and in most different types of soil. Grow in mixed borders, or in patio containers. Although, remember that an acidic soil will give blue flowers, whereas an alkaline soil will produce pink blooms! Grow hydrangea plants in any rich, fertile, moist soil.
