The cape sundew works by wrapping their unique stems around any insect that is unfortunate enough to land on the plant and prevents them from escaping. We recommend watering this plant from below during the growing season, the best way to do this is place a saucer filled with 1cm of soft water underneath the potted plant so it can absorb the water through its roots. When the plant is dormant however, only water when the compost gets dry and make sure the excess water can drain away freely.
