Hesperis matronalis is a traditional cottage garden biennial, also known as Sweet Rocket. At its best when grown en masse in sunny herbaceous borders where its mauve pink flowers and sweet fragrance will make it irresistible to gardeners and pollinators alike! Once established, Sweet Rocket will self-seed freely to create perfumed drifts with a naturally informal feel, which lends itself beautifully to cottage gardens and wildlife areas. Culinary note: some parts of these flowers are edible.
