Geum flore-plena 'Blazing Sunset' is a striking variety from T&M’s breeding programme. These prolific plants are early flowering, with sensational fully double scarlet flowers, which are up to 50% larger than other varieties. Classified as a perennial, early sowing will see it perform like an annual! Enjoy the fabulous flowers from June to September - they looks brilliant in borders and make a dazzling cut flower for the home. This variety hold a Fleuroselect Quality Award. Sow from February to July in good seed compost, just covering the seed with compost or Sow-lite (Vermiculite). Germination takes 30-90 days at 18-20C (65-70F). Sealing inside a polythene bag after sowing until they germinate is helpful. When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings to boxes or 7.5cm (3 in) pots. When well grown gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out 30cm (12in) apart in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
