Thompson & Morgan Deutzia x hybrida 'Strawberry Fields' is a fast growing, summer-flowering shrub. Hold an RHS AGM thanks in part to its delicate, fragrant flowers. This extra special shrub has bicolour pink flowers which are produced from early summer. A great value shrub for gardeners with less time. Grow Deutzia x hybrida 'Strawberry Fields' in any moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Feed and water Deutzia plants regularly until fully established. Once established, Deutzia shrubs will require little attention. After flowering, cut back the flowered shoots to a pair of healthy buds. On mature plants, remove a fifth of the oldest shoots from the base of the plant. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
