Unlike many cucumber varieties, Cucumber ‘Diva’ can be grown either in the greenhouse or trained onto supports in a sheltered spot outdoors. This variety produces mini cucumbers, just 12cm (5”) long, which have smooth, green skins and refreshingly crisp, sweet, seedless flesh. These compact little fruits are just the right size for your lunch box or adding to your picnic basket for those sunny, family days out. Cucumber ‘Diva’ is heavy cropping , only producing female flowers, so that each bloom has the potential to produce fruit. Better still, it has excellent disease resistance to both powdery mildew and downy mildew, so you can be certain of a bumper crop. Sow cucumbers indoors from March to April. Grow them on until they are large enough to plant in the greenhouse or outdoors in fertile, well drained soil in a sheltered, sunny position. Feed and water regularly throughout the summer.
