Thompson & Morgan Crocosmia Lucifer - 3 Summer Flowering Corms

This hardy perennial produces vibrant sprays of vivid orange and red flowers, standing out against upright spikes of bright green sword-like foliage. With tall, arching stems, the impressive blooms of this Crocosmia create a show-stopping blaze of colour that is sure to stand out in your garden. Perfect for growing among other herbaceous perennials for a stunning border display. You can even cut a few stems to make a beautiful indoor vase display. Grow Crocosmia in rich fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. If necessary, improve soils by adding plenty of well rotted manure prior to planting. Plant Crocosmia corms at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 10cm (4") apart. In autumn, cut back the old foliage to ground level and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plants. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of perennials in autumn to maintain their vigour. Caution: Contact with flowers may irritate the skin and eyes, and are toxic if eaten.
