This exotic Pineapple House Plant is a superb architectural indoor plant for a bright windowsill or conservatory! Great for creating a talking point in your home, this unusual, tropical house plant produces pineapple fruits that are instantly recognisable. Ananas comosus is a terrestrial bromeliad, producing a wide rosette of dramatic, sword-like foliage. The coarsely-toothed leaves have an attractive arching habit. Like other Bromeliads, this evergreen is capable of purifying the air, removing harmful toxins from your home. In summer, plants produce cones of purple flowers with bright red bracts for a spectacular display. The flowers are followed by fruits, which gradually grow up to 3cm (12in) tall after 7-8 months!
