This product is created for animals and is not intended for human use What is NexGard Spectra Tablets for Dogs Nexgard Spectra is a veterinarian-prescribed oral treatment that treats flea and tick infestations quickly and effectively. Nexgard Spectra is designed for dogs that also require prevention against gut worms and/or heartworm disease. Nexgard Spectra targets parasites, protecting your dog against flea infestations for up to 5 weeks and against ticks for up to 4 weeks. The treatment kills parasites by interfering with the way signals are passed between the nerve cells of their nervous system. This interference results in paralysis and death of the parasitic organism. Active Ingredients Nexgard Spectra Tablets contain two active ingredients: Afoxolaner: An insecticide and acaricide that effectively kills fleas and ticks. Milbemycin Oxime: An antiparasitic agent that protects against heartworm disease and treats intestinal worms like roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Combined, these ingredients provide an effective solution that both treats and prevents infestations and disease caused by parasites. Dosage Nexgard Spectra is available in 5 different strengths based on your dog's weight. Administer the appropriate dosage as prescribed by your veterinarian: Extra small dogs – 2 - 3.5 KG Small dogs – 3.5 - 7.5 KG Medium dogs – 7.5 - 15 KG Large dogs – 15 - 30 KG Extra large dogs – 30 - 60 KG Our packs of Nexgard Spectra contain 3 tablets. Precautions Avoid use in dogs less than 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 2 KG. Do not use if your dog has a history of seizures.
