The McAlpine ABS42/43A-CB is a 90-degree compression bend made of chrome-plated brass, designed to connect to ABS solvent weld pipes. ABS, or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, is a type of thermoplastic polymer commonly used in drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. ABS solvent weld pipes are joined using a solvent cement, which chemically bonds the pipes together. The McAlpine ABS42/43A-CB compression bend is designed to be used with ABS solvent weld pipes to create a bend in the pipe.
