The elbow length allows staff to easily put their arms into an oven without the risk of burning their forearms, perfectly for deep commercial sized ovens. A leather padding reduces the heat transfer from the oven to your skin, so you don't feel the heat when handling hot trays. They also can withstand temperatures of up to 300˚c allowing them to be placed into hot ovens without melting. These baker mitts have a separate thumb opening in giving you a firm grip of pans and trays, reducing the risk of drops during oven removal. These Matfer Bourgeat mitts are sold in pairs.
