Peppersmith makes 100% xylitol chewing gum and mints that are sugar-free with actively healthy ingredients to keep teeth healthy, containing no aspartame or animal-derived ingredients. The brand uses only natural flavours, British-grown mint, and 100% xylitol sweetener. Founded by Dan and Mike (who previously brought Innocent smoothies to the world), Peppersmith was born in 2010 after they discovered Finnish-style chewing gum containing xylitol in 2009. They also found the world's best mint farm in sunny Hampshire, combining these discoveries to create a genuinely healthier alternative to conventional gum. Xylitol is naturally derived from trees and is actively good for teeth, not just sugar-free. The gum and mints are approved by the British Dental Health Foundation and endorsed by the Oral Health Foundation, helping reduce plaque and the risk of tooth decay. Xylitol also has 40% fewer calories than sugar and a low GI of 7, making it suitable for diabetics. The ingredients are carefully chosen: lecithin from European GMO-free sunflowers, glycerol from rapeseed oil (instead of bovine gelatine), and no palm oil. Each pocket pack contains 10 pieces of gum, with each piece containing 1g of xylitol.
