About Rounton Coffee

Rounton Coffee was established in 2013 by Dave Beattie, who left his career as an engineer after falling in love with coffee whilst working with farmers in Sumatra. The roastery found its home in a converted old granary building in East Rounton, North Yorkshire.

The company roasts on Loring S35 Kestrel and S15 Falcon machines - energy-efficient convection roasters that produce delicious coffee staying fresher for longer. Their beans are best brewed at least 10 days after roast, allowing time for degassing and flavours to develop fully.

Sustainability and transparency are at the heart of Rounton Coffee's founding principles. They ensure payment above Fairtrade pricing to farmers and maintain full traceability throughout the supply chain. As members of 1% for the Planet, they've donated over £10,000 to environmental causes and use carbon-neutral, home-recyclable packaging.

Rounton Coffee supplies award-winning beans to farm shops, delis, bistros, cafes, B&Bs, hotels, and restaurants across the UK, as well as direct to home coffee lovers. Their range includes single origin coffees, house blends, and decaf options, with free shipping on orders over £25.
