Cupshe

Cupshe is a global swimwear brand founded in 2015 in Nanjing, China by entrepreneur Zhao Liming (Mike Zhao). With deep understanding of Western consumer preferences from living in the US, Zhao combined this insight with China's manufacturing prowess to create affordable, fashionable swimwear. Initially dabbling in various fashion categories like Shein, Cupshe found its niche in swimwear after Zhao balked at high prices during a beach trip. The brand tapped into Xingcheng, the Swimwear Capital of China, for specialised manufacturing. Opening their first US physical store in Los Angeles in 2018, Cupshe now sells in over 100 countries with their design centre in LA, expanding into cover-ups, activewear, and loungewear.
