Iron Heart was founded in 2002 by Shinichi Haraki, who had 20 years in the garment industry starting as a pattern maker for Edwin before advancing to designer and producer. He combined his experience with his passion for motorbikes to create a brand focused on heavyweight denims and durable fabrics for the motorcycling community.
Works Inc is based in Japan with offices in Shibuya, Tokyo and stores in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Kojima. Their signature 21oz raw denim was the world's heaviest when debuted - sturdy enough to withstand bike spills but easy to wear. Iron Heart uses denim between 17-25oz.
Since 2005, international sales have been managed by Giles Padmore from Gosport on the South Coast of England, the heartbeat of Iron Heart International. Products are made in small, family-run mills and workshops with deep pride in their craft, creating timeless clothing for today's lifestyle.
