About AGV

AGV is a historic Italian motorcycle helmet manufacturer founded in 1947 by Gino Amisano in Valenza. The name derives from Amisano Gino Valenza. Since its founding, AGV has been at the forefront of helmet innovation, creating the first fibreglass crash helmet in 1954 and the first full-face helmet in Italian racing in 1969.

AGV's racing heritage includes legendary riders Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts and modern MotoGP star Valentino Rossi. The brand also supplied Formula 1 champions including Niki Lauda, Emerson Fittipaldi and Nelson Piquet.

Acquired by Italian safety specialist Dainese in 2007, AGV helmets are still made in Italy using carbon fibre, aramid, fibreglass and thermoplastics. The range includes full-face racing, sport, touring, modular, jet and open-face designs.
