Sand & Sky is an Australian skincare brand created by twin sisters Emily and Sarah Hamilton. Witnessing a growing hunger for all things Australian, the sisters had a simple goal: to put A-Beauty on the map. They set about creating an Australian botanical skincare brand that worked, while embodying the legendary Aussie laid-back lifestyle and fun-loving personality. The brand launched in April 2017 with the now-cult Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask, which quickly became a global sensation. The success of Sand & Sky contributed to accelerating the growth of A-Beauty in the global skincare market. Within two years, the brand became the leading direct-to-consumer A-beauty brand with an engaged community of 480,000 followers across social media. Sand & Sky's approach is "from bush to bathroom" - their products are packed with Aussie botanicals that have been used for thousands of years to treat, heal, and highlight natural beauty. With 80% of Australia's flora and fauna completely unique to its shores, the founders saw an opportunity to utilise these efficacious botanical extracts to create natural skincare formulas. The brand uses A-grade hero ingredients including Australian pink clay, Australian glow berries, Tasmanian spring water, and old man weed to purify, protect, hydrate, and soothe skin. All products are clean and cruelty-free, banishing common skincare nasties such as parabens, silicones, mineral oils, sulphates, and phthalates. The majority of products are also vegan.
