The brand's name derives from the Latin 'oleum verum' meaning 'true oil', reflecting the quality and devotion with which it was created. The original formula was developed in the Mosel Valley by Franz Otto Klein and his wife Edith, inspired by their favourite spa in Baden-Baden. The Hawksley family acquired Olverum in 2014 and relaunched the brand in 2015, preserving its unique heritage for a new generation.
